Peder Balke Kunstlåve Phase I

The project consists of transforming several rooms in a large barn previously housing horse stables into a studio for the production of large scale pieces of art. Aluminium and steel insertions providing new lease of life for an obsolete barn.The inserted elements in the project is drawn from the materiality of contemporary farming technology as well as referencing the local aluminium industry in the region of Toten. The iconic red painted barn has been given a steely inner lining to equip it for new use.
