Kastler Skjeseth Architects is an Oslo-based architectural studio founded in 2015 by Amandine Kastler and Erlend Skjeseth. The studio works primarily with the transformation of buildings and places based on a close reading of history and pre-existing conditions.

The studio has extensive experience working with existing buildings and heritage environments in Norway and the UK. Prior to setting up the studio, Amandine and Erlend worked for David Chipperfield Architects London, Jarmund Vigsnæs Oslo, and OMA/AMO Rotterdam.

Amandine and Erlend are currently teaching at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) in Oslo and the Architectural Association (AA) in London.

Erlend Skjeseth

AA Dip Arch. RIBA II MNAL

‍Graduated from the Architectural Association in London in 2010 after studying Art History at the University of Oslo. Erlend has previous experience from working at David Chipperfield Architects and AOC in London as well as with Jarmund Vigsnæs in Oslo. Erlend is an assistant professor of transformation at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) and at the department of Design at Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHIO) Erlend is a deputy member of The Oslo Council for city architecture (Rådet for byarkitektur)

Amandine Kastler

AA Dip Arch. Hon RIBA III

Studied at Architectural Association in London, graduating with Honours in 2010. Amandine worked at OMA/AMO Rotterdam on the Hermitage Masterplan before working at David Chipperfield Architects from 2010-2015. Amandine is an Associate Professor of Building Heritage (Førsteamanuensis) and Architecture at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) and previously Unit Master at the Architectural Association (AA) in London.

Erik Benjamin Sjøberg

Master i Arkitektur

Graduated from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) in 2019 after studying in Oslo and ETH Zürich. Benjamin has previous experience from MDH Arkitekter in Oslo and Armon Semadeni Architekten in Zürich.

Louis Gervais

Master in Architecture

Louis was educated at Zurich University of the Arts and Design, Delft University of Technology and graduated from Oslo School of Architecture and Design with a masters in architecture in 2022. Louis has worked with Hesselbrand, Jørgen Tandberg, Andreas Tingulstad, Espen Surnevik and Skapa.
