Log Cabin

Extension by onfill and refurbishment of a log cabin deep inside the forests north of Oslo. The cabin is a simple notched log construction from 1945 without much isolation or daylight inside. The intervention features a large picture frame window towards the south east, roof-light above the kitchen and a new bathroom tucked under the existing roof. The log box is retained under a new steep roof that increases the useable floor space and allows for a dormer with a large window out over the forrest. The project is situated in a protected area of natural importance.
